My earliest encounters with artistic visuals have to be the paintings done by my mother and my father’s sculptures. Born and brought up in the serene and tranquil environs of Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, and having a strong propensity towards art,  I got naturally driven towards the visual mediums of expression. With an intent to further craft my passion using tools of academic learning, I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Madras University and Masters in Design (M.Des) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

In 2013, I started my journey as a photographer/ entrepreneur at Regan Raj Photography. With an incredible bent of creativity and zeal to touch the sky, I enjoyed photographing numerous commercial photoshoots and capturing special moments at the most extravagant weddings - en route. Further exploring the depths of my talent, I assimilated the knowledge of cinema and directed my energies towards 24 frames per second, which lead me to make documentaries, besides working with Director Mysskin in his 2014 Tamil feature “Pisasu” as an assistant director/assistant cinematographer.

Having gone through multiple professional experiences in life, teaching happened to be my ultimate calling.

In 2019, I joined The Lawrence School, Lovedale as a Visual Art educator teaching Sculpture and Pottery. Being a teacher, the experience helped me explore the finer dimensions of schooling and opened up my mind to various inspiring ideas.
